After graduating college back in 2010, I felt a bit lost and didn't know what I wanted to do next. I tried out many jobs, at one point working 3 jobs at once, and none seemed like the path I wanted to take. I fell into jewelry design using recycled objects and loved it. I was all over the place with jewelry making and didn't know what my true vision was for it. It wasn't until I really looked back at my past artwork from school and saw a pattern of sea-like renderings, I knew that was the direction I wanted to go into. Before I was able to get started, I found out I was pregnant and wanted to sleep and eat all the time. It was hard for me to find the time for myself after my son was born. Luckily, I have a great summer gig where I got to be around lots of artist who inspired me to get back to my roots. I started with a painting I've been wanting to do of some rope on a boat that I took a picture of while on my Meditterranean honeymoon. Then that morphed into my other sea inspired drawings and paninting. I'm getting close to the point of wanting to go back to jewelry and continue where I left off. I'm really happy with what I have been able to produce lately and I'm so lucky to have great family and friends who support my passion.
